White actors would dress themselves as black people with pitch black faces and mock them using various stereotypes such as ignorance, laziness, and dependency. This is not accepted in present day America because of the hurt that this gesture has caused black people. Heck, Miley Cyrus, who is one of the most unclassy singers alive had the decency to pay tribute to lil Kim this past halloween without painting her face black.

I would think that's rude. I'd be thinking to myself, "does this woman have a problem with looking like a black person?"
I'm a white british person living in England, so black Americans can have their own opinions. And despite me thinking they need to get a grip and know the difference between harmless fancy dress and racism, I respect their views. But please, don't bring your old-fashioned accusations to my doorstep because I will not have it. OK, that's enough of this for me. /exiting
