Remembered when she cleared up the rumours that she wasn't selling out?
If you don't here:
But then Pollstar revealed ticket sale numbers....
Here's the link, in case you'd like to check:
http://www.pollstarpro.com/files/cha...dwideTours.pdf
18 shows, $19,7 million gross revenue, 179,646 tickets sold. That makes average 9,980 people per show and average gross revenue of $1,094,400.
Average 9,980 people per show? - That's not sold out.
It's also consistant with the numbers revealed by billboard. It's even more disturbing though that tour promoters can change the "capacity" so when they report numbers to billboard and pollstar they can say "sold out". But anyways,
My aim here isn't to hate on Lady gaga. I don't think the BTWB was a major "flop" my point is that when asked about her non sell out shows she lied and said they were all sold out. I think that would be a natural response for any star that didn't want to talk about how their shows were not sold out.
So when addressing the 25million scandal based on history of course she wouldn't be truthful.
My main point is, Saying that the 25million story is a lie based on gaga saying so is just as bad as saying it's the truth because the examiner says so.
In my personal opinion, i agree that 25million is inflated but I also agree that ARTPOP's promo budge was huge and it probably did lose the label some money. However much it lost, is anyone's guess.
