I really don't understand why people hate on her that much.

That's really unfortunate to be in a position where you feel unappreciated by both the media/critics and your own fans.
Her post is clearly addressing both parties. I don't think I've ever witnessed another major celebrity who has so publicly acknowledged that she is aware of the criticisms being made. Most tend to simply ignore it or they don't even see it all (avoid media outlets).

Please stop with the "she doesn't want to be commercial" posts, have you seen Gaga's outfits/stages/promo? All this costs MONEY and good connections!
Not being commercial wont get her half of the stuff she has right now, including the Versace campaign or money to spend on events such as artRAVE( the album party not the tour)....
I love her, but she needs commercial success....

She sent a bus to give therapy to those in need. She spoke with the president about bullying.
She gave a phenomenal speech relating to the LGBT. She's even gone to third world countries.
She's done so much more I can't even begin to write.
I think she's one of those artists who really use her fame/power/money for the greater good. But it's a shame people are obsessed with dragging her.

See, now you're doing what people do on this site and taking it to an extreme.
For one, she's probably signed to a MULTIPLE album contract deal. And two, since when do you have to give up all artistic ambition when you're signed to a major label contract?
And most importantly, I firmly believe Gaga cares more about helping people and preaching her messages of love and acceptance more than money. She wants to help people through her music, and yes, it is arguably ridiculous and obnoxious that she wants to do so, but I think it's pretty clear she cares more about that than being #1.

the do what u want what u want what u want what u want u want what u want remixes begs to differ. her asking her fans to buy applause multiple times begs to differ.  she's just as thirsty as the other pop stars for success and there's nothing wrong with that.
