I think everyone is so afraid of Xtina's power that they always try to knock her down because if she rises say goodbye to your faves.

In an ironic way the fact that Britney is an icon also puts Christina in the same status because everytime people talk about Britney(her TV specials and documentaries) they always mention Christina

Local to SA, but has gone 6X platinum in Brazil, sold 100,000 of BEYONCE ( 3weeks only) and out toured them.

Beyonce is arguably more successful and def more acclaimed than Britney and Xtina even though X is always praised for her voice but neither of them is more iconic than Britney Spears. Britney's moments up until today remain untouchable.

It's not like people are saying Christina isn't iconic, she is But there was never a period in Beyonce's career where she went as unchecked for as X from 08-13 (until she managed a feature on a hit song). Being iconic isn't so much talent or even sales, but cultural impact and where you are in people's minds. When one of the others gets on the front page of newspapers and on every major news network for releasing an album, or wearing an obviously short-haired wig, then we'll talk Factor that in with sales and such, and you have an ICON.

The last things Christina did that had cultural impact and made her ubiquitous were her rivalry with Britney (in which she was usually outshined), + the Lady Marmalade and Beautiful song and video. She was also very successful in 06-07.

No. She's definitely an icon due to her past work and career, but nothing about her has been iconic in years. The Voice was great exposure and her features do great, but none of that is adding to her legacy or overall impact. Britney surpasses her in terms of iconic and success peak despite tanking now, and Bey is just Beyoncé who has never tanked in success, exposure or performances.

So no, she isn't.
