I still remember the first time I saw it.
It was on Perez's blog.
He posted the album cover and wrote "FEROSH" all over it !
I immediately fell in love with it and was so proud of her for being so brave and release such a cover right when she was about to turn 50 .

If you watch Ellen's most recent interview with M, there is a clip where they show every album cover but the Hard Candy one, I found it funny for some reason

American Life is underrated.. but I think the sound is just not for everyone. But the lyrics of Easy Ride or Intervention and Nothing Fails alone are just amazing. So if not only for the production, there's the lyrics. Intervention is by far my favorite track on American Life and Easy Ride is definitely a close second for me. And I agree about the sound not being for everyone and I think that applies to the Erotica album to some people too...I've seen some say the album's production is cold and off-putting.

I just can't choose how to rank my favourite M Albums.
- Ray of Light
- Erotica
- Bedtime Stories
- American Life

at the moment. Parts of Erotica may sound gritty - but I don't get the "cold" production comments.
If anything, that album includes one of her "warmest" productions on a song ever - "Waiting" + "Secret Garden" (hello, how is that cold).

Of course, Bedtime Stories is even warmer in sound but it wouldn't ever have worked out with the Erotica lyrics. Erotica is perfect from start to finish and with its production and you really get that she has something to say with this album. Iguess in the end I just love the so-called "dated" 90s sound behind it.
