It's going to be a feature on the next software update, which should be coming sometime this year.
As for the Ignore List, it has already been around. Just go to someone's profile and under "Add or Remove as Friend", click Add to Ignore List. Then, you won't be able to see any of their posts unless you click "View Post" or take them off the list.
