Anyway, she worked with ReDone on 3 albums and like 10 consecutive singles, so let's not act she never worked with ~generic~ producers.

I'm not saying she never worked with mainstream producers, it's just that ARTPOP failed because no one directed her. (she needs to fire her yes people but as of now she's eliminating everyone who isn't that) I guess that's the best way to bring her success: make her work with people who focus more on the hooks PLUS she needs a songwriter. Madonna created her best songs when collaborating, I think the same goes for Gaga.

This is really not a flop.

iTunes carries so little weight in some countries in Europe now though. DWUW was #1 for a full week in norway but only managed #13 on the offical chart

While with the album It's obvious that PRISM rised because of the discount (in Fact the album has been discounted on Itunes almost half of the time It's been released)
ARTPOP was just discounted and It's already on track to enter top 10 on Itunes ...
