You're joking right? People thought Dwuw would smash the moment it came out and they thought Legend X would save it. Then again, people thought Unconditionally would be a surefire #1 hit. It's just odd seeing Capitol not even bother with Uncle as much as Interscope has with Dwuw.
I was talking about the remix going Top 10 lol. Everyone thought the original DWUW would be Gaga's comeback & hit Top 5: it didn't even come close. What I was saying was that no one expected the Legend X version to go Top 10 & save the song (hopefully ).
It's just a testament to how much the musical climate has changed. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis being an independent outfit is really going to have a profound impact on how music is marketed in the future. Much more than Beyonce's surprise release will, in my opinion (cause it only worked for her in a way that it wouldn't for most anyone else).
