It's such a shame to see her going down this route: generic songs to save her career and secure her a hit or two; not to mention that Halcyon Days is the biggest dated generic crap released this year. "My Blood" should've been the next single. I miss those days of Lights/Bright Lights when she had her own little pop sound. After "Figure 8" flopped her label probably forced her to record tracks like this or "Burn". Halcyon was full of hits and yet they decided to go with songs from Halcyon Days.
Halcyon was full of hits yet the second single flopped, right. Burn was definitely an attempt to get a big hit, but this sounds exactly like an 'Ellie' song to me. Although I agree that apart from the three singles and Under Control, the re-release is pretty bad compared to Halcyon. Lights/Bright Lights is pretty much unanimously hated tho.
