What is a teen hottie tho? Is Lorde the best looking girl in the music world? No, but she is a great role model and hopefully children hear "16 year old, Lorde tops the charts" and feel inspired. but what I don't get is why does she always try to avoid that image? She tries to act ALOT older than she is and it sorta bugs me that's she's avoiding a image which would be great for her and kids. So is she a "teen hottie" in the sense that she could be a great role model for that demographic? Yes, she is but she is doing everything in her power to stop that which is sad.

Lorde is very young so she has to avoid to speak only for teenagers. It's all right to play live in front of teenagers but not solely.

Look as a young artist, would you rather speak to the New York Times or New Yorker who asks you about your music and your position in the society or would you speak to Teen Magazines who asks you "How is your Boyfriend"

And that she is at par with the older artist should be a much more role model for teenagers than to be a Disney Princess.

To be honest, she has the potential to be really attractive, but she covers herself in dark makeup that makes her look like a dead person, and it's kind of creepy. But overall, she's actually pretty attractive when she bothers to present herself well.
