Oh yeah I read something like she's donated millions of dollars over the years to the Kabbalah Center.

Is Madonna actually that philanthropic? You never hear much about her charity efforts besides Malawi (which seems to be a little shady). Maybe she just keeps her charity on the down low which is fair enough.

Two consecutive eras without real big hits (BTW was only a "hit" because of the era it came after) is the main thing that damaged Gaga's brand. It's hard to crawl back up after so many consecutive underperforming songs. The "comeback hit" needs to be stronger and stronger the longer you are away, cause else radio stations won't get back on board.

Pepcé has the same problem, we see it now with her singles having a hard time gaining traction outside the US. She's been without hits internationally for so long, she really needs that big smash to put her back on the map.

She's sort of known for her massive greed and cheapness but I do think she has donated a lot to charity over the years. Well, I hope so. Nobody needs that much money.

She did tons of stuff for HIV/AIDS/homophobia/racism back in the 80s when there was major stigmatization. I can't really think of anything else that's significant apart from the malawi thing
