If this logic could be applied to most of the industry we would hardly have music to be honest - she's talented enough and a smart enough businesswoman to have gotten here, and that says something. If talent and intelligence were the defining factor of success, though, there would be a long list of pop stars and other artists who are still here and would otherwise not be.
