YUP! People sing Halo because it's vocally impressive, but not necessarily difficult; It's a pop song. Same reason people sing IIWAB.
With songs like LOT & Listen, it's a lot more difficult. The songs show vocal strength and how a singer can master a truly difficult song only a pro (Beyoncé) can sing.
