Average tour grosses are overrated. Average profits would be ideal, but we don't have access to that information. In other words, it's lame to discount someone who can do 100 shows in the US or Australia at $1-1.5M per night in favor of someone who averages 1.5-2M/night with fewer dates in those markets. It's generally expensive as hell to move from date to date internationally and cheap to do it intra-nationally.
Now, if you're a U2 doing $7M per night regardless of location, then obviously you're above this discussion anyway.
