It makes no sense to stifle artistic expression for political correctness. This is her narrative and she has a particular way she wants her audience to think about it. Paintings, movies, and novels have been created which reference past tragedies, so why not music?
It’s not like she’s juxtaposing it on a song about sex. The song itself talks about love and life lost. Adding the audio clip creates a more tangible emotional response by taking an abstract idea and linking it to a concrete event. I sincerely doubt the decision to include this clip was a light one.
Worst case scenario, the song blows up and the younger generation is made aware of the incident. People need to sit down.
