1) Download a video in MP4 format
2) Open it in Photoshop
3) Cut it up and shizz and get the parts you want - no more than 20 seconds usually
4) USe the Crop tool to make a square (do NOT transform it, that makes it squished - just crop out the square you want)
5) Once you're SURE it's a square: Image > Image Size > 125 pixels
6) File > Save for Web (set the loop option to "forever"), wait for it to render, watch your preview, and click save!
Pretty much the basics, though there are some important details missing.
