I'd love to answer that, but that's actually a tough call.
We don't know if Katie has sent the gifts over to Patrick yet, so it could really go to either and it'd be fine. Sending it to Katie might be your best bet, though, so she can just forward it to him no matter what. Giving it to them during the exchange is fine if you'll be there, I suppose. Though it's probably better to just add it to everyone else's and let Patrick exchange them all out.
