Noisey Interview; addresses drug use
Eric Saade did a Noisey interview today, talking about his album, Exposé, making the album and more. He also addressed the video for Midnight Love that leaked containing heavy drug use.
Exposé is quit the mature album. Did you find any difficulty in making it? Was there anything challenging about making it?
The most difficult part would have to be trying to choose a selection or writing songs that would sound cohesive on an album. I have such a broad taste in music, so I'd go in and record a full on dance song, then a R&B one, then an Alternative one and I knew that it wouldn't really work as a whole for an album so yeah, the hardest part was having to strip everything down to one genre. Bt I definitely put some other genre sounds in there too.
You recently released the music video for 'Can't Please Everybody' how was filming that and secondly when can we expect Part 2?
It was really great. We shot it in New York a few weeks ago and it turned out really well. It's basically about chasing someone you want to be with and letting your imagination get to you. Because that's kind of what the album is about really. My imagination. Part 2 should be out in a week or two.
Will Part 2 be the end of the video series?
Part 2 will be a different song. Part 3 is the last part and that too will be another song.
Now let's talk about the Midnight Love music video. Was that ever supposed to see the light of day?
Definitely. Just later on. I'm not angry about it or upset by the response.
You smoked in the video, do you codon doing drugs?
Not at all. I don't even smoke it was just for that video. I was discussing the song with a friend of mine and he was listening to it while smoking and he said, the video for it should be drug inspired because it kind of suited the mood of you know just chilling and blazing. So we did it and yeah. I definitely don't support drug use but it's just a situation or thing I thought fit the song.

BBC 1XTRA INTERVIEW
Eric Saade called in to BBC 1xtra today for a short interview where he talked about his collaborations on his latest album, making it, and more about those pesky questions about the controversial Midnight Love video.
We're here with Eric Saade. You released your brand new album Exposé which is really sick. I commend you on that. You worked with artists like Selena Gomez, Childish Gambino and more. What made you choose those two as well as Solange as collaborators?
I felt like they were perfect matches for the songs I chose them to be on. I knew they'd be great additions to the record. Without them on Exposé or Jade I feel like the songs would be kind of empty and bland.
How did you and CG record the song? Together or?
We did it separately because I was in Sweden on break at the time. He went in and killed it in Los Angeles.
Where's your favorite place to record?
New York, I feel most inspired there, honestly.
So would you say you like New York better than LA?
Definitely, London is a close second after New York.
Now about this Midnight Love video, man... Its crazy. What made you think of doing a video like that?
You know I had the choice of either doing a boring video for the song that involved me and a girl or I could direct something myself and try to be as creative as I can with it. I decided to go with artistic expression and come up something myself. I actually shot the entire video myself. My friend was talking about it's a song that perfectly described the night life in a song. So we came up with the idea of high on heartbreak.

iTunes Single of The Week
The iTunes free Single of The Week comes from Eric Saade's newly released album Exposé that's currently sitting pretty at the top spot on iTunes. The song is called 'Heat' and is a sex driven R&B-synth driven song where Saade talks about feeling the heat with his partner or perhaps love interest. The song was made available for free download, linking you straight to the album for purchase after bought and downloaded.

BET Interview
Eric Saade filmed an interview with BET (Black Entertainment Television) to talk about his R&B record, his personal R&B albums that are close to his heart and more. About stepping in the studios with well known and respectable R&B producers, he commented saying, "It was quite surreal stepping in the studio with producers I only dreamt of working with. I was really grateful when they were up for it. Even more with the product we made". Saade also confirmed that records like 'Spirit' by Leona Lewis, 'Here I Am' by Alicia Keys, and 'Confessions' by Usher were his favorite R&B records. About going R&B, he said that it was a sound he'd always wanted to explore. That artists like Alicia Keys, Usher, and Justin Timberlake had inspired him with their classic records.

2. Christina Aguilera performs at Main Square Festival
The singer performed her already iconic singles: Freedom and Something Something there. Of course, the star also sang some of her old hits like Beautiful or Genie In A Bottle. As a dedication to her fighters and her haters, she sang Keeps Gettin' Better (after this song Legend XXX LaFlopped). She thanked everyone there and also signed some autographs. A very dedicated stan even asked ha to sign it on a I Am A Fighter t-shirt. Xtina started to laugh, but she signed it and then, she hugged her fan saying: "Your dedication is amazing"
3. Christina Aguilera to release a New Year track
Legend X just can't stop releasing new music! The singer just announced that she will put on a new song on the New Year called "A New Xtina (Let There Be Success)". The title is more or less a mess, but we are so excited to see what LaLegendtina is gonna release. Will it be a song adressed to the critics? To the fans? At least, we hope it'll be a good track because A Merry Xtina was amazing. What a flawless song. We played it for the whole Xmas. We'll have to wait and see what Legend X will deliver.

Up and coming rapper, Junglepussy recently posted the tracklist for her mixtape S.A.T.I.S.F.Y. on Instagram. Surprisingly, this mixtape contains features from artists like Dai Burger, Lil' Kim, and Azealia Banks. She said she'll upload this mixtape on her Soundcloud as a New Years gift to her fans.

Eric Saade: The Exposé
A short thirty-minute documentary about Eric Saade aired today on MTV titled Eric Saade: The Exposé. The documentary showed Saade making his brand new album Exposé, the release of the album and more. It took people and fans behind the scenes, showing the physical and emotional strain it came with being a pop star and promoting all around the world just within the time span of a week. It also showed Saade talking about growing up in Sweden and the struggles personal and career wise he went through to finally make it out of Sweden.
