If I were to design an elevator throw a New Year's Eve party I'd have that video played on repeat
The sad thing is it's not her cheapest video by far.
Speaking of New Year's Eve. I'm invited to a costume party, and the theme is Happy New Year, extraterrestrial, super cool.
Y'all need to help me, fellow lambs, what shall I disguise myself as?
Does anyone know the first week sales of Mariah Carey???
Nobody knows because Soundscan usually would not ever talk about sales that low. Like they would rather talk about a #1 debut with 305,000 copies sold than a #120 debut with 8,000 copies sold.
BuT, I know albums in the #100-#110 range sold like 10,000-13,000 copies so it probably sold 15,000-20,000 first week. That would be the smartest guess.
But I got that estimate from 1995 #'s, and in the industry was a lil higher in album sales then -- so maybe anywhere from 11,000-17,000 in 1990 would be a smarter prediction.

Either way it wasn't impressive.
Okay first of all, it debuted at #80, and second of all, it ended up selling 18 million copies worldwide, so the first week doesn't matter, I was just interested.

Umm, sorry for helping?
And I know it debuted #80, hence me adjusting the #'s a bit
