Losing Grip in Let Go era, Label wanted Anything but Ordinary, in UMS era label wanted Fall to Pieces but she wanted He Wasn't - hence mixed 4th singles WW during UMS. During TBDT era she chose Hot and TBDT singles. Also in Goodbye Lullaby era the label fought tooth and nail for WYWH as 2nd single, but Avril wanted Push or Smile then left fans vote for it. WTH followed by WYWH in 2009 would have slayed the world. Max Martin was slaying with Kelly at the time and Avril had just gotten off a massive era. Mess @ Avril being so stubborn and causing that delay only to give in two years later when her career was already halfway dead.

The only person she can blame is herself.

Oh WYWH would have done much better than Smile, tbh. Push would have been interesting as well. People generally say it would flop as a second people but who knows. Once I heard it on the radio and it didn't sound that awkward. Also it did well in Japan didn't it?

Oh god I still have in mind those 567 interviews where she mentioned Hello Kitty She will surely sing in during the Asian tour tho.

Anyway Contagious is so short It's true it is one of the better songs on the album, but not sure if it would be a good single choice. The obvious snub on that album was Innocence but I think that B-side song Alone could have done well.
