Exactly. She stands there and lets her voice and music and her passion for performance do the work for her. A real performer doesn't throw everything and the kitchen sink at you in every performance. Gaga used to be able to dial it back and still command a crowd. It doesn't matter what your opinions on the performance are, the crowd that was there was going INSANE. She commanded them with every little gesture and run. All the choreo and staging in the world isn't making up for the fact that she doesn't command respect on stage any more.
I thought she was getting it back with the ARTPOP performance at Swinefest, but it's just not there. I love the DWUW AMA performance, but she's just still not OWNING those stages like she used to.
