She got really lucky. Everything else from that era flopped, including BL in the US (it did well internationally b/c of shakira). & the fact that Irreplaceable blew up around the holiday season was just perfect timing b/c it really boosted sales. B'Day would've topped out at 1.5 million even w/ the re-release if Irreplaceable never happened.

It's not easy to keep selling albums on a yearly basis. If it was, everyone would do it.

dd; girl y'all can try to compare her receipts to every single album sale counted in Soundscan history, but still nobody cares about her albums.
It kinda becomes sad when the GP can name 30 singles of yours, but couldn't name an 2 albums or 5 non-singles.

At the end of the day, Rihanna sold more records than both Gaga and Beyonce (solo).
Is Gaga or Beyonce at 30m albums sold yet? or 120m+ singles sold?
The fact that Rihanna, age 25, sold 150m records hardly breaking a sweat is nothing to laugh off.
What if she sells another 150m records in the next eight years? That would put her at 300m. Past Madonna's record sales.

Nobody cares about any albums in general. Do you really think people are able to designate singles to certain albums? It's very, very rare.
Ex: I Wanna Dance With Somebody is a huge classic, which Whitney album did it come from? Who the **** knows.

I can not and will not at Lana slightly punching Joanne like this. NO promo, NO iTunes banners, NO tryhard EDM songs, and BTD was released 2 years ago yet it's STILL selling on par with ARTPOP. W00 lordy how the tables have turned.

That's like every popstar though. The GP only remembers full albums by rock bands or r&b/blues/jazz artists.

The only place she has a reputation as a skank is on ATRL where people make **** up and pray others feel the same (like you hoping she is a skank). To the public, she's dated a handful of guys.

Not really.
I'm almost sure if someone knew 30 Beyonce, P!nk, Lady Gaga, etc songs they could also know the name of one of their albums.
Some people could even name 50 Rihanna songs, but not the name of her album.
