How did she bring it on herself? By fostering a relationship with her fans?
It would be the same for any other celeb that talks to their fans directly on Twitter or other social networks. I'd say it's more that she just happened to get stuck with a bunch of wishy washy fans that care more about chart success and bragging rights than they do about her actual art tbh.

There's something about her I can tell she really is addicted to fame and having attention like I think she likes the fame thing more than any other popstar and now that she's flopping and losing some of that she's really taking to it badly, turning off the GP, her own fans, and completely directing away from the music
