BTW was the start of Gaga's decline. ARTPOP is just where no one really cares anymore. I joke around with Gaga, so it makes me a tad sad that her decline has been so hard. It's not like we didn't all see it coming. But she's still above the likes of Miley and Ke$ha in terms of likability and raw talent.

Honestly it's not so much BTW is a horrible Album but to me it embodies what I dislike about most Popstars.
Gaga lost the plot, she's a popstar first and I felt that she was trying to make herself out to be far more than that. It had some unlistenable songs as well. Artpop isn't better than BTW overall but it's more tame, and there are prices of the Gaga I liked in 09 on the album.

Nothing is wrong with wanting to be seen as more than just a pop star, tho.

Her comments have always been very anti-pop and as if she's above the other girls. In terms of talent, she is, but to the general public she is still very much a disposable pop star who dresses weird for attention. This type of music would not convince anyone that she is more than just a pop singer.

The true start of her decline was the meat dress. That was such an obnoxious stunt queen move. I'm wearing meat to free the gays. stfu bitch.

The hysterical reaction from the media about it is what opened the floodgates to her pulling even more stunts during BTW which ultimately led to her demise. That meat dress stunt should have been shunned and criticized instead of sensationalized.
