I want so badly a new Christina album. LOTUS was a deception for me, excepting a few songs - I mean, it's a great pop album, but it's not even on BIONIC level. I know she can do it so much better.

Yes! atlast someone who appreciates the craft of BIONIC! i hate those people who downplay BIONIC because of its floppage and messiness as a whole but its production is just top notch

Lotus slays so y'all better hush! Still can't get over the juicy campiness of Red Hot Kinda Love, the addicting & probably best single-material appeal of hers ever Your Body and the carelessness of Circles.

Bionic really isn't that bad of an album, I think that it's stronger as a whole then both Lotus and CA. Not Myself Tonight is the worst song on it by a landslide and that's what doomed it tbh Most of the tracks on Bionic are extremely solid, even the bonus tracks are amazing. Lotus was okay and would have worked for a newer girl maybe but for Christina it was very weak.

Yes! This has been the biggest problem in Christina's career: Her timing. Often doing things before their time, or after their time, but a lot of times not on time.

M5 capitalized on the momentum from the first season of The Voice because they never stopped the momentum from Moves Like Jagger. They went straight from that to Adam's feature on Stereo Love then to Payphone right away. And by the time they were releasing One More Night, Christina was just getting around to releasing Your Body

Are people still downplaying Bionic though? I feel like especially in the last year, it's gotten so much recognition and respect. Even here, Ive seen so many people be like "I made fun of Bionic because it was trendy to that in 2010, but I listened to it yesterday, and realized how wrong I was and what a great album it is"

Well, she won't be doing next season. Shakira is doing that, but that's good. Part of why Lotus didn't work was she was doing three back to back seasons of The Voice, which was coming off her divorce and the whole mess in 2010. She never had time to breathe. One season off from The Voice did such wonders. She never wanted to do back to back seasons of The Voice in the first place, so I think it's good she has time off, but hopefully it's not too much time off after Say Something is done on radio.

And those are just rumors for now.

I want a new album by fall at the latest. I doubt she's even started working on a new one yet.

Christina needs to play up her strengths and she'll be fine. No more Your Body's or NMTs.

She needs to leave the show on a high note imo. She got into the Top 2 this season, she has a SMASH with Say Something, her attitude/style has been given critical praise. Leave it now imo, and focus on music like she said in Elle Brazil.
