What double standard? Miley's plan is so transparent. Every video has to some sort of gimmick going on because she wants the video to catch on as a viral hit. That's the only thing she has to offer.
Based off these two photos, it seems that Lady Gaga is really desperate to make a "Sex" book but is DREADING the thought of being compared to Madonna again. Gaga, just go ahead and do it and get it over with. You're already compared to Madonna, in a negative light, so might as well just make your own "weird" version of Madonna's "Sex" book anyway.
(I actually think the first photo -- the Candy? cover -- is cool and interesting and has legitimate artistic integrity, by the way. The second photo is just cheap Gaga "it's-art-because-it's-not-pretty" BS.)
