My aunt has it and it's God-awful. The entire setup is a mess. And from my experience from trying to fix PowerPoint on her computer, most of the pre-installed programs don't even work.

Is there even anything new to it? It just looks like they changed the layout of Windows 7

I don't use Metro, and other than that it's pretty much the same as Windows 7, with a few improvements.

Windows 8 actually performs much better than Windows 7 on average. But my god, forcing that UI on desktop users when you're known for being a productivity OS.

Sometimes when I try to move the touchpad across the page is goes back to that triflin' tile setup. I've had it for a day and I'm so over it. XP and 7 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My work computer is Windows 7. Thank goodness it's not 8. I couldn't take.

Win8 is actually much better than Flopdows7, and I've had both.
The metro menu can be a Bonnie McKee-sized pain in the ass, but once you learn the shortcuts and how to navigate, the pros outweigh the cons.
The new update gets rid of the metro menu anyway.
