She prob. will do well as an actress. It's in her blood. Her mom is Denise from Cosby Show and her grandmother was on The Jeffersons. And her pops is Lenny Kravitz. She better have a nice career.
Vin what are your thoughts on Dr Luke's very shady and catty interview with the New Yorker about Ke$ha?
Unlike some of the Animals who got caught up in the "Free Ke$ha" hype without even knowing solid facts, I'm pro Dr. Luke. Don't misunderstand, though -- I'm not pro Enslave Ke$ha. The fact of the matter is, Dr. Luke is a very, very talented producer and bonafide consistent hitmaker. Dr. Luke and Ke$ha COMBINED are a monster, literally. They literally just made hit after hit after hit together with "Animal + Cannibal." Both Ke$ha and Dr. Luke were in the same place musically, back then.
The issue is that Ke$ha has expanded her musicality since "Animal + Cannibal" but Dr. Luke hasn't (in terms of what the artist "Ke$ha" should be). Both Dr. Luke and Ke$ha are right in their own argument -- Dr. Luke needs Ke$ha to be a relevant hit-making pop star and Ke$ha needs to understand that from a business standpoint. But Ke$ha needs to have enough artistic freedom to create music that, not only smashes, but also reflects her as an artist, and Dr. Luke needs to understand that. Ke$ha can't suddenly become an indie rock artist and expect all her fans to follow her, and Dr. Luke can't expect Ke$ha to put forth that drunk party girl image forever. The full c**k pop album that was supposed to be "WARRIOR" was a perfect idea that would have been a great medium between both Ke$ha and Dr. Luke, but Dr. Luke didn't want to take the risk.
No risk, no gain...
The interesting thing about that interview in The New Yorker had less to do with Ke$ha and Dr. Luke's quarrel and more to do with the fact that he's "catty" or "upset" that Ke$ha doesn't have more Twitter followers OR that Ke$ha isn't as successful as Katy Perry. That's what I found interesting. I also found it interesting that there's a very subtle glimpse of maybe some behind-the-scenes drama between Ke$ha and Bonnie McKee. The article was less about Dr. Luke vs. Ke$ha as it was Dr. Luke vs. Katy Perry, Bonnie McKee vs. Ke$ha. It's a very cryptic interview. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
