Just because you aren't a fan of songs with themes that revolve around carefree-ness and the like doesn't automatically make them stupid th0. Plus singing about ha youth is all the girl has because what has she accomplished past 2007 besides a few fragrances and marrying a man placed alongside Kevin Federline as the laughing stock of the industry?
At least you semi-stan for TBDT though, so we'll get along just fine. <3

true, i'm sure she got a lot of help writing those songs on LG. at least, let's hope--if her songwriting ability declined THAT immensely, that'd be a shame haha
i'm just saying--do you consider Rock 'n Roll, Here's To Never Growing Up, Bitchin' Summer, Bad Girl, Hello Kitty, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, and Sippin' On Sunshine educated or credible? i totally get that artists are allowed to have fun songs and songs that aren't deep or emotional. buuuuuuuut seriously? more than half of the album is about ********. what's with that serious album cover? it doesn't make ANY sense, it's the weirdest album. it makes no sense, it's mixmatched.
17 is a fun song that has some credible depth to it. Let Me Go, yeah, i dig. GYWYL is a song purely about sex, but it has some good lyrics and its sound isn't ridiculous. Hello Heartache and Hush Hush, i'm fairly certain, are from GL, because who else would she be singing about in terms of a breakup? why is she still singing about him? like, they're well written songs and more mature, but why is Hush Hush the closing track on this album--a song about a divorce that was over, especially considering she wrote an entire album about it already?
idk why Goodbye, Lullaby is so underrated. it has her best lyrics since LG, and there are only two songs with no depth/emotion--WTH (which, ok, fine, one song about being young forever, it's fun and cool) and Smile, which is still pretty relateable even if it's fun.
i'm not hating on avril, she has a great voice and i've loved her since her first album. but she's a grown woman, and her fifth album is a disgrace. i hope she'll be able to make a sixth album that redeems for the steaming pile of **** that is AL.
LG and GL are her best albums imo
