Anyways, looks like people really like Dark Horse! Glad the radio is playing songs people actually like and not forcing them to listen to songs they dont! (like a top 10 radio pop song that very few people were buying or looking for on youtube or spotify!!!)

ROAR had the best call out scores ever. Uncle was in its shadow.

ROAR broke the spin record and out peaked Applause.

You all didn't say that about Payphone last year. Why does it suddenly apply to Katy now?

IMO, it makes no sense for radio to hop on DH so quickly. I know they were already playing it, but literally the day they announced it's going to radio it began getting pretty big updates. It's payola, point blank. Radio doesn't just "catch onto" a song so immediately like that, especially a song that isn't an official single.

Katy's known for payola, too. And not just radio payola, so it makes sense. Katy's team is all about doing what they can to inflate her success. It pays off, but there's no point in denying it.

Except it really doesn't. DWUW has been performing exactly the way it should given its radio play and the fact that it has no video. Not to mention Gaga is not a radio force or a big single seller so.

But all of those are receiving much better radio updates than DWUW. Unconditionallys radio updates and AI never matched its digital sales unlike Dark Horse that has been getting extremely great radio updates to go with its increasing itunes gain.

Airplay is airplay. It shouldn't matter if one is getting larger updates than the other. On a per-week average, more people are listening to DWUW than those others.

Yes, Unconditionally underperformed. We get that. I was addressing your fellow monster who was trying to defend why DWUW isn't selling more. It is underperforming and can't be denied.

Also, with the exception of Say Something (which has been increasing due to exposure from the talent shows), SOML, Burn, and DH has had less US-televised performances than DWUW.

That's just excuses. All that matters is DWUW is underperforming on the same level as Unconditionally and unlike Katy's song it not suffocated between one of bigger 2013 singles and people favorite who was cannibalizing it's sales from it's iTunes and Radio run started.
