I didn't use that term in anything but a positive way. Pretension is seen in a negative light, almost as a counterpart for hypocrite, but I think it shows panache.

This is exactly what I told my friends! As long as you are self-aware that you are being pretentious you can kind of get away with it. Which makes it fun and interesting. It makes you an interesting person with questionable intentions. My intentions could firstly be seen as disrespecting, but it's rather humor than showing no respect. That's how I look at it. The only thing I'm doing here is making conversations more interesting by having different opinions than most of y'all. Or do you want to get back to the Bey praising and Gaga dragging? How dull.
