Mariah only has like 5-6 decent albums (Emotions, Music Box, Daydream, Emancipation, Butterfly, and sometimes E=MC2) and that's about it, the others range from meh, unlistenable or plain bad. her debut isn't bad either but it's too formulaic and blah bar The Singles + Vanishing.
With the exclusion of Daydream, Charmbracelet, and Music Box, all of her albums are good. She's an impeccable artist
G0Dream is lovely.
But, you're right about the other two, especially MB. That album is sooo Celine Dion/Barbra Streisand it's not even funny, Dreamlover is the only good song on it..
In terms of artistry, I don't think she'll ever write a song as good as "Petals".
