Well in the first few quotes, it's summed up that it takes away from physical demand. Basically, selling 618k on iTunes alone -- to them it doesn't make sense to severely stock her album, if so many have already purchased it due to the exclusivity. It's logical in general, but as I said, it should be circumstantial; not just a set business decision. Using their common sense, they could tell this album will continue to sell strongly.
I doubt they'll hold out long when they see the sales for the next 2-3 weeks.
