Lady Gaga, the artist, deserves to flop this "ARTPOP" era. (She deserved to flop during "Born This
Way" and essentially did seeing as it sold nowhere near the expectations she or her fans
were expecting). I do take a little e-solace in the fact that I don't have to be a one-man
army against her on ATRL anymore and everyone is doing the "dragging" for me.
I can just sit back and enjoy the sounds of the massacre.
Lady Gaga had a good run. But unless she puts out actual addictive music on her next LP, she's done. Miley Cyrus is in the same boat -- she's proved she has longevity and can be controversial, but there are no more singles left on "Bangerz" (ironic considering the album title) and for her next LP, she needs to grab the public's attention with her music FIRST, before going on her second controversial campaign tour. Lady Gaga lacks self awareness. She's not self aware to realize that as long as you have an addictive chart topping song on radio, you can do and say whatever you want as an artist -- until she realizes this (which most likely won't happen) she will continue making "ARTPOP" and no one will care.
