Good taste, these happen to be my favorite tracks too actually
It'll probably smash that way, though. It's already being backed by airplay, so they build it all up so it'll have more of a chance to smash upon release. Applause probably would have went #1 here if Interscope done the same thing for it.
That's because everybody rushes to buy it once it's had a few months being played on radio. It's a formula which works, but it is annoying for British stans.
