This might be is a dumb question but if I buy it on iTunes rn will it count towards charts?
or should I wait until there's an official single download? idk how these things work.
It's doing well on iTunes in the US with no performance, video, and not much radio. Imagine if it got the full single treatment. Also that performance in Germany wa great! She improved a bunch on that song
1st (August-November 2013) Roar 2nd (November-December 2013) Unconditionally 3rd (December 2013-April 2014) Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J) 4th (May-August 2014) Walking On Air 5th (September-December 2014) Legendary Lovers 6th (January-April 2015) Birthday 7th (May-August 2015) This Is How We Do
The only single I'd be afraid of underperforming a la Unconditionally is Walking On Air, since it may seem outdated as a single by that time (summer 2014). if it underperforms midway through its chart run, emergency release This Is How We Do & cancel it as summer 2015 single, so it would just end after Birthday in that case.
WoA deserves a release though, and rather sooner than later.
I agree, just switch Birthday with International Smile and TIHWD with Ghost or ITT
What are you talking about? The decision has been made. Everyone needs to let go of UC right now. It's becoming annoying.
Source? As far as we know it's just a US Rhythmic single. It has only been like a week since that guy who works at Capitol gave an interview where he said it was probably pointless to release Dark Horse officially at this point.

Keyword "probably" and that's before he saw how Pop has literally dropped UC and replaced it with DH. It's doing twice as good on Pop than Rhy actually.
I heard this on the radio and assumed the station just stanned for Katy. It is a decent single choice but I wasn't quite ready to let go of Unconditionally.
