Some people believe that just because a moderator isn't online that the rules are not in place. It's not true.
Another misconception is that people tend to "freely" post flamebait when they know a thread will be closed/locked. We can and do still go back and warn posts after closing a thread.
I've seen people complain in HQ that they got warned for very legitimate flamebait because the thread was closed. It doesn't validate you breaking the rules.

But we can't change that.
To warn a post, you have to come into the thread. It looks exactly the same as your screen does, except every post has a "Warn" button next to the "Profile, Friend, Message, etc" buttons that we have to click to warn.
Making it anonymous would require a complete overhaul of the entire system. Like can we focus on completely fixing the server and upgrading the site first?

What I meant is that certain members are likely to be warned more harshly due to their track records.
Now that I think about it, however, we can't eliminate that completely - it's important that members understand that you can't just get 10 WP's, wait a month, and do it all again forever. There's a point at which it becomes too much and harsher punishment is warranted, and in order for that to come about, we kind of have to see who post things. So really, an anonymous warning system could be problematic in that regard.

It's funny considering the mod who started this thread is a mod who makes jokes about Brandy's car crash. When other users do it, they get a warning point. The OP was reported, but didn't receive any sort of warning point. That's not right.
And it's sad that a mod would even do something like that. So basically, mod's shouldn't be exempt from receiving warning points and they should also be banned just like other users if they don't follow the rules or make immature and pathetic jokes like the OP did.
I'll probably get a warning point or get banned for everything I said, but at least I spoke no lies.

It's okay, but there are some mods that know they aren't good mods and take advantage of their "power"

It wasn't any of that though.
It was in a Gaga thread at night when no mods were online, and I said something and 20 of them attacked me and everytime I replied to them they kept reporting me for Fighting. I don't even think any of them got warned either.
They did it to like 5 other people, and they got banned yet none of the Monsters themselves got banned or WP's for fighting either.

I agree with this to a degree. Strictness does not equal efficiency, but at the same time Lee!! is kinda just doing the job

Oh this is another thing, some questions in ATRL HQ get straight up ignored by moderators Like they just continue talking without even acknowledging multiple questions on it. I remember I made a post today asking whether if someone can get warned for posting unoffical youtube lyric videos and it was never acknowledged from the last time I checked.

Are you arguing that you don't deserve a WP for that post, or..?

I wish you guys would've just responded to my tweets asking why I was warned so I didn't have to go through that mess.

Seriously I wanna know which mod did this to me.

I'M MAD because I got banned for quoting a download link back in October when ARTPOP got leaked/released and then y'all started handing out only 2-day bans for link requests
it's all good though I needed a break but STILL lol

Sorry I'm not a moderator I don't know how it works for you guys I made my response based off what Lipton said it being an interesting idea to implement so !

True, but then again you guys can see who you warned afterwards so it doesn't make a huge difference, but according to Doc this is unable to happen

I guarantee you no one lurks thread for posts to warn. Some of us are more active than others, but none of us has the time for that.

Can't you just put in the warning message the name of the mod who administered it?

Does anyone even get warned for that? I don't warn for it.
It's practically a forum meme at this point.

I was there and I got 2 WPs for fighting I know I took it too far with one member though and I was just waiting for the message to hit my inbox.
No "stan moderation" going on. Don't think they employ anyone that's like that.
