OMG, I couldn't stop thinking about this album. I almost started singing Drunk on Love out loud at work today... And then XO popped into my head... and on the way home I thought of Heaven and I almost ...
Me too, but these songs in my head made work a lot easier, I actually was in a great mood.
In my opinion, this is Beyoncé's most personal album she has ever released. The lyrics and production are phenomenal, and one thing I look for in a artist is evolution. Beyoncé, as an artist has evolved (opinion), and she deserves all the critical acclaim she has been getting. Also, there's a great selection of R&B songs on here, "Drunk on Love," and especially "Rocket," which is also one of the most personal/sensual songs she has ever released.
I didn't expect it to be better than 4, but damn.. This is her best. Even better than the flawless 4 My AOTY after Matangi. And what kind of flawless videos to top it all off. Her persona works for EVERY ****ing video. The flawless queen. Who ****ing else
