And English, too.
Demand is not measured by how many tickets are sold, it is measured by how QUICKLY tickets sale. You curtain off half the arena, put tickets on Groupon, give them away on the radio, or lie about capacity to get a "100% capacity" show, but
where were the multiple dates? Beyonce did 5 shows in Brooklyn, 3 shows in L.A., 3 shows in DC, 10 shows in London, 6 shows in Dublin, 4 shows in Machester... and more may be on the way.
Beyonce had fast rapid, record-breaking sellouts in North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.
Higher prices & higher demand.
Rihanna had fast sellouts in Western Europe and not many other places. Her only show in the U.S. that sold quickly enough to warrant a 2nd date was in NYC (the largest city in the country). Even her show at Revel (only 5,000 seats) didn't even sell out quickly (in comparison to Beyonce who sold out 3 Revel dates in less than a minute with ticket prices almost 3X as much.)
Lower prices & lower demand.
Had she charged Beyonce's prices it would have been a disaster.
No rapid sellouts = slower demand.
