There are no obvious hits here. If anything happens to be a hit, it's going to happen the same way other more alternative hits happened on radio for the past few years. I see Pretty Hurts a bigger hit than XO. Both because of the video and the song. People dig these stuff guys, even Roar slayed when it's clearly more generic but it was uplifting and motivational. GP is here for those kind of songs.

Plus it's a better choice of a lead single because it's a strong, clear message rather than XO.

I agree. XO is pure heavenly bliss. The video is great and I think people will connect to it. I can already see it being used for videos of returning servicemen and women, sappy commercials, breast cancer awareness ads! I can go on. Same thing with Heaven. That song is going to be played at funerals like crazy.
