Yes, for an album she's notably pushed back how many times? We've even seen stores like FYE put up albums with her name on it to confirm she pushed it back. Just because the promo came when the album was originally coming out and not when it was actually released doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

this release is smart marketing, ofc, but marketing doesn't always equal promotion. the only things B did: just threw it down to the iTunes store with banners.

Yes we do. It sold 3M WW with no hits at all. Outsold most of Rihanna's albums in the US including her latest album that was supported with a #1 hit single and a smash hit ballad called Stay. That's what happened.

I'm not a stan at all, but I can't at people calling this a gimmick. She was not musically present the entire year.

This was amazing and as an occasional member of the army she snatchedT the last card we had.

The power of her own celebrity is all the promo she needs. Social media and other outlets have been in a frenzy over this. It really speaks to her cultural impact that she didn't need to go do promo work, everyone else is doing it for her!
