The cheesiest songs of all is Never Forget You, though. The chorus is trumpery.

I love Never Forget You, it actually sounds passionate. Hero is the absolute worst though.

Well, and I love Hero. The melody alone is divine. Mess at her calling it cheesy later but then writing the lyrics of Angels Cry and naming that album The Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel

I'm done dissing Boring Box

I have to admit it: It was the first full Mariah album I listened to and it made me really love her. I was screaming out the lyrics to I've Been Thinking About You at the top of my lungs
I'm glad I didn't really discover Mariah's discography before like 2011 because I was old enough to really remember whatever I was feeling when listening to the different albums. Every time I listen to Daydream, I get that feeling I got the first time I listened to that album. The same with all the other albums
(I always knew the big hits like We Belong Together, Don't Forget About Us, AIWFCIY and Hero obviously, but I never realized she was such a great singer - neither did I care at the time).
The first time I listened to Vision of Love though.
I hated the Butterfly album at first - You couldn't hear what the fukc she was singing. I don't know how long it took me to understand the chorus to Honey.
And I LOATHED The Roof, Fourth of July and Breakdown. It took me a good 9 months after discovering Music Box to actually bother giving those songs a try.
Basically, since I took the chance of expanding my musical taste in 2011, my life has never been the same
One negative thing, though, is that I have problems listening to albums with reductive vocals. Like, for instance, I just CAN'T listen to Madonna's songs (sorry Madonna stans!!!), her voice is just so damn thin. At the same time I really love Aaliyah, Janet and Ciara

So I'm currently in a musical crisis because I've over-listened to Mariah's stuff, Whitney's, Shania's and Beyoncé's stuff. I just can't with most of Celine's, Christina's questionable behavior (

) is turning me off, Aretha - I just don't know; where does one start? Ugh.
