All the remixes are being released (r3hab, Jump Smokers, Panic City)... none of them are very good but hopefully they will boost Timbers popularity in the club scene.
Wrong. "The Monster" was released on October 29, and "Timber" was released on October 7.
"Timber" is doing better than "The Monster" sales wise which is great, but sales alone isn't going to get "Timber" that #1. "The Monster" has a larger radio audience (even though "Timber" is rising), and with the music video, streaming points will be MASSIVE for "The Monster". I think that you're underestimating "The Monster" ha power.

I don't think streaming will be that massive for long (3 weeks at best) since it got like 6m streams every week and started decreasing
The Monster is bigger than Timber right now but it's also selling way too fast so it can burn out quickly. Timber could have more longevity because even though it's a Pitbull and Ke$ha song it's fresher than the other one and it's far from peaking.
Well, if "The Monster" does end up blocking "Timber" I won't be that surprised or upset; I'll be a little sad that Ke$ha didn't get her 4th #1, sure, but I genuinely like "The Monster" a lot, and it really does deserve the #1. Besides, "Timber" is a Pitbull song anyway.
I just hope that they both can get their time to shine. As I said, I'm fairly optimistic, I certainly think that it's in for a chance, but I'm not holding out for it. I'll be very happy if it does indeed hit the top spot.
Top 5 is already good, all I want from this is hype for K$'s next record and future summer smashes next year.
Pretty much how I feel too. It'll probably get a new peak on the Hot 100 this week as well. Like, the skng has exceeded my expectations greatly. I never saw this coming.
