Either Adele or Taylor will break Britney's OIDIA record. If she goes in a new direction like I think/hope she will, Adele will fall considerably after though and have a much less successful era (but still successful, think Jagged Little Pill ---> Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie but with way more singles success).
Rihanna and Shakira's collab will dominate globally, selling massively and becoming one of the biggest songs of the decade but it will be blocked in the USA at #2 for 5+ weeks due to a stupid viral video/last minute rule change.
Beyoncé will come back huge and have a big first single, and will beat 4's first-week sales.

Adore You will smash.
Dark Horse will spend weeks at #1.
Birthday and This Is How We Do will smash.
Rihanna will release a new album late summer, and will potentially be up to her 16th #1 by the time the era ends.
Beyonce will actually smash.
DWUW will become a decent sized hit but not as big as it should.
Gypsy will be released next and underperform proving that it is overrated as hell.
They will then release G.U. Y. which will be a hit but will suffer from the lost momentum caused by Gypsy.
JT will release a few more singles from 20/20 then just focus on touring.
Christina will release a new album similar to the music that she's been successful with lately, which will do well, but still won't smash.
This is all I know for sure..

If Lana plans her era wisely and she and her label have an interesting campaign (including an US tour) she will get more success in America. First single needs a big budget video with a different direction than the last ones

General- The EP trend will continue, especially among lessor known artists who labels feel like they can get a hit or two out of but not enough for an album or to receive major promotion.
- A "big" label will end up folding.
- Pop music will continue to decline to the point where it is just a tad bit more popular than other genres (it might not get to this point until years after 2014 tho). Other genres will continue to dominate the Top 40, giving us an increasingly more diverse chart.
- A lot of genres will be "blended" for singles and albums to ensure success and appeal to a number of different audiences.
- There will obviously be some new trend in terms of production, but there will still be quite a bit of rock-influenced records as well as jazz and R&B-influenced records.
My Faves- Kanye will release another album which will be as critically acclaimed as MBDTF or more acclaimed than Yeezus. It'll be a more hip-hop sounding record but obviously in his own style. It'll go Platinum before Yeezus (which more than likely won't go Platinum in 2014).
- Nicki will release an album which once again divides listeners. However, it will give her highest Metacritic score. The album will sell as much as PF:RR or 50k-250k less and it will have a couple great crossover songs (whether they are made singles or promoted correctly, who knows). There will be a song with an artist that will project the single into the Top 3/Top 10 (possibly her Let Me Blow Ya Mind? idk), a rap song that does as well as Beez did if not better, and another smash in the bonus tracks if handled correcly.
- Bey will finally release a lukewarm debut single. The second single will definitely be more successful and one of her biggest hits. Her album will have a lot of influences from other cultures and countries.
Pop Girls - Gaga and Katy will continue to "decline", but obviously will still be at the head of the pack w/ the other pop girls in terms of success in music overall.
- DWUW becomes the most successful ARTPOP single, Gyspy does about the same as Applause, and then Gaga moves on to the re-release/second edition of ARTPOP.
- Following the Shakira single (if the rumor is true), there will be another big hit featuring Rihanna during the first half of the year and she'll quickly follow it up with her own single + album. The album will be well-received by critics and she'll get her second #1 album.
And the rest... yeah. They do great stuff, make mistakes, etc. like everyone else lol.

-Rihanna will release a new album in november but not before doing a few collaborations .
-Beyonce will continue to decline and will just become an icon of our times who gets praise but is no longer able to compete with the other girls
-Adele will do considerably well and will have her most acclaimed album to date, although might win fewer Grammy's with the success still been well above others.
-The trend will generally continue to move from urban music/hip-hop to more alternative/indie type music.
-most of the prominent artists from last decade will "fade" into just being icons ..............\
-Britney will most definitely retire or just say she's "taking time off" only to disappear ....
-And as bad as this may sound .....I have a strange feeling that a prominent/legendary selling artist from the 80's who peaked in the 90's will pass .......

Lady Gaga ARTPOP will continue to be a weak era for her.
DWUW will reach the Top 10, but not live up to its full potential.
Gypsy will be an average sized hit, #6-10 peak, kind of like Applause. Grammy performance.
G.U.Y. will be released but not live up to its full potential. By then, people will be really sick of this era. The song won't be fully understood.
She'll start hyping the next project near the end of the year, though she may not get to release Vol 2 like she wants. If it ends up being Vol 2, it will much different & more controlled than Vol 1. Vol 1 will end up with 2.5-3 million in sales.
Rihanna will release her new album in Q2 2014. She'll have a great year.
Bey will rule 2014.
Katy She'll continue to smash. PRISM will sell very well throughout the year.
Dark Horse will be a #1 smash.
Birthday will be released & may not reach #1, but will reach #3-5.
Legendary Lovers is a probable #1 in late 2014.
Miley Cyrus Adore You is a likely #1, although radio may take a while. Drive will also be big.
Nicki Minaj She will rebound from RR & gain back respect & clout in the hip hop industry. The music & image will be her strongest ever. Sales will stick, but the opening numbers are up in the air depending on handling.
Taylor Swift New album late 2014, but her opening week sales will not climb this time. The opening may still reach a million, but it will not outdo Red. She will have the second best selling album of the year behind ADELE.
ADELE New album Q2 2014. She'll have the bestselling album of the year & break Britney's opening week record. She'll debut with more than 1.5 million copies sold in the US alone. Her record will be really on point & feature a shockingly groovy single.
Bruno Mars People will love his Super Bowl performance & he'll get another Top 10 hit with "Young Girls". He will release a new album in late 2014, as YG will be the final single from UJ. YG may not live up to its full potential in terms of chart performance, but it will do well on radio.

Do What U Want will hit Top 5, and become a radio smash.
Gypsy will follow and be a moderate hit.
Gaga's tour will perform slightly worse than BTWB, but still do well.
Phillip Phillips will break the AI curse, and his lead single off the second album will do amazing on the charts. It will peak in the Top 10, and also help him break through countries like Australia and the UK.
One Direction will announce one more album and then there will be troubles within the group, which will lead to a close break-up/break-up
Rihanna will come back and do exactly how her last albums have done.
Ke$ha will be gone from the scene. Perhaps a collaboration that does moderate.
Unconditionally will just miss the Top 10. Katy will release Dark Horse, which becomes one of her biggest hits. She then releases Legendary Lovers and becomes Legendary herself.
A blast from the past. Someone will come back and become massive for a while ala Robin Thicke.
Pharrell Williams - "Happy" will smash in the US.
Imagine Dragons wins one of the important Grammy awards and performs On Top of the World or a new single, which then does very well. Possibly Top 3 peak.
I see a soundtrack song to do extraordinary well. Perhaps a song from the next Hunger Games soundtrack.

other random predictions:
-Kendrick will release a new album out of nowhere around the middle of the year.
-alternative/indie will rule, and minimalism will be the major trend. Outlandishness, Miley aside, won't get anyone anywhere this year.
-urban & hip hop will continue climbing back up the charts
-Sevyn will get numerous urban hits from Call Me Crazy, But...
-Justin Bieber will release a new album around Black Friday & there will be a lot of stan wars between them as 1D also releases in November. They will not release the same week for obvious reasons. This era, it will be more obvious JB's influence has weakened, but he will release excellent music that surprises people. 1D will continue to grasp the indie/alternative trend.
-The 20/20 era may get like 1 or 2 more Top 10s but it will fade out as he focuses on touring. Drink You Away & Cabaret will do well. Cabaret will be performed at the Grammys.
-Imagine Dragons will continue their Top 10 streak with "On Top of the World", Spring smash.

Ultraviolence will be massive. Maybe not 21 massive, but still much bigger than Born To Die + Paradise combined. Her lead single will probably go top 5, if not #1.
One of the major pop girls (Katy, Rihanna, Britney, Gaga, etc) will get pregnant.
2014 will be a make-or-break year for Gaga. She'll either have a #1 single, or no top 10 hits.
There will be some huge controversy surrounding Britney.
Rihanna will have her 2nd #1 album in the U.S.
There will be a huge death in pop music (I predicted Whitney Houston's death a few years ago, girls).
One of the girls ATRL likes to call a "flop" (Ciara, Christina, Ashanti, Brandy) will make a huge comeback.
Beyonce will finally release her single, and it'll either dominate the charts or flop hard. No in between.

Rihanna's new single will slay, but her album will flop
Miley will be forgotten
Katy Perry will continue to slay radios and tours
Kesha will join Dancing With the Stars
Britney's Vegas shows will have critics and ATRL'ers in tears!!
Justin Bieber will check into rehab

Adore you will flop and miley hype will end
DWUW will go top 10 in the beginning of the year and be a modest hit, ARTPOP era will be cut short for a revamped and better part 2 (ala 20/20 experience minus the success of the first half)
Dark Horse will be HUGE, #1 hit
Beyonce still won't release
Taylor will have her third mil+ opener, slightly less than red
Ultraviolet will open with more than BTD, but not have as much cult status and won't outsell it
not sure who else is releasing so

Gaga will release the second volume of ARTPOP and it will see the same or an even worse response in sales as the first volume.
Katy will get pregnant right before her tour kicks off and will have to cancel the whole thing.
Beyonce will finally release a single around February or March and it will perform moderately well.
Ke$ha will have an album out by the Summer and the third season of her show will premiere in April to kickstart the promotional campaign.
Rihanna will release an album in May or early June; the album will be similar to Loud.

Britney will have a successful single, WB was just a fluke because of the explicit word.

Bruno is gonna smash and everyone will love his Superbowl. His vocals will slay and his style will set him apart.
Nicki is gonna release her 3rd album and regrain her street cred. Hopefully she has another successful single like Beez In The Trap and another crossover type. Her album will be her magnum opus and will be her best yet. He sales will hopefully match PF's sales and she will win a Grammy or two in the process.

I also think Kendrick will come out with an album in Q3 or Q4 and will debut at 400K+. He will also get his first lead single to go top 10 maybe #1
