When a person's career becomes unreceptive to promo (i.e. not gaining sales after major performances, etc.) that's when it's generally considered that the GP no longer cares for them. That's why Bionic was such a big deal (on top of the fact that it was the first album Christina released since the Fighters trolled Britney during her breakdown and said Christina was going to surpass Britney's sales after BTB); Christina performed on ALL of the biggest promotional platforms available and still only sold 110k.

lol. the point i was trying to make is that her sales could have been much better, had she decided to promote the album. "no promotion" shouldn't be used as an excuse since it is the duty and obligation of both the artist and label to attempt to sell their product....

It's true they could have been better. But the ability for a pop girl to sell 115k this late in her career with no promo is not something to laugh at. We're all disappointed Britney doesn't promote, but she's done like 6 promo performances in the last 7 years.

The Hope for Haiti performance was like 3/4 months before Bionic even came out. NEXT.

Ya'll are trying to bring up the promo X was doing, but let's not forget the all out campaign that Perez, Gaga fans and Britney fans had to bring down Xtina.

Perez, ONTD and the rest of the stanbases even coined the term Floptina and used it everywhere to try to intentionally sabotage her. So let's not pretend like that didn't happen.
