How do you explain the sales of Taylor, Drake, Eminem, Garth and a few others? Yeah sales will continue to decrease, and anti-piracy is high. That's not an excuse for Gaga's or Britney's tragic sales. Middle-aged adults are utilizing technology like the rest, so save that.
You all act like artists never have peaks and lower points in their career, look at Madonna. She had 3 consecutive albums not hit #1, and 2 of them had pretty low sales compared to her previous albums. The numbers aren't great by any means, but they aren't awful. You also act like other pop girls this year with massive promo and huge singles have pulled amazing 1st week sales when none of them could even touch 300k Britney did less promo this era than she did for Femme Fatale, plus she also had 2 hit sings with that album. It's obvious the focus was on Vegas this era, and the album was pretty much just something for the fans. Y'all need to chill and enjoy the album!

It's going to take quite a while of Katy selling better than Gaga for her to get anywhere on her level.
I'm not trying to excuse Gaga because ARTPOP's sales are indeed terrible but those themselves will never take away from the past.

I'm not saying she isn't. It's evident that Katy is doing much better than Gaga. I'm not arguing against that. The person I quoted was trying to argue that she had surpassed Gaga overall and there's so much that Gaga has accomplished that Katy has yet to accomplish.
