Yes they are. There's a reason certain producers and song writers appear on hit songs over and over again. Just because the public doesn't know them by name doesn't make their work in making hits less valid. They're more responsible for the hit than the singer is. They make money off of the songs.

iHype said those songs were successful because of the race of the performers. You brought up the songwriters and producers. I am trying to say that the race of the songwriters and producers is irrelevant to iHype's point about the race of the performers.

He said that people were more easily attracted to the Whiteness of the performers whom they SEE. People don't SEE who works behind the scenes. They're not attracted to the Whiteness of those work behind the scenes, because they don't SEE them. What does their race have to do with anything?

You're trying too hard to turn it into a racism thing, and actually ignoring the work that black musicians did to make the SOUND of the song. They wrote the hooks, they made the beats, they mixed and mastered Miley's vocals to make her sound her best. They did the grunt of the work, and you're purposefully ignoring that so you can pretend to be socially conscious. You're focusing on the superficial face instead of the work that went into making the song.

How much people by the song for features tho. I didn't even know Mike Will is black, nor did I know he was apart of WCS making. Nobody knows, even when people put the directors name in teh video, you are hardly likely to remember that they were apart of it.
Blurred Lines is a solid song. I probably would have done well if a black male sang lead. But I can't imagine it smashing like it did
