Who cares. Madonna isn't great, she's not even good at anything. She's just successful. Her music sucks and has aged really bad. No one under 40 knows her sings.

Madonna's fourth era was the iconic Like A Prayer/Blond Ambition, how's Gagz's fourth era going so far?
The film’s stealth weapon, however, is Lawrence. Hot off The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, she steals every scene in her limited screen time

Quote:
Rosalyn may be no con artist, but it’s Lawrence who steals the picture, giving another marvelously unpredictable performance in an entirely different key from that of her Oscar-winning turn in “Silver Linings Playbook” (or, needless to say, her starring role in “The Hunger Games” franchise). Of all the fine actors returning from that “Playbook” (Cooper, De Niro) and “The Fighter” (Bale, Adams), Lawrence is the one who feels like the purest embodiment of Russell’s ethos, a natural-born comic spitfire whose lightning shifts in mood and flashes of temper suggest unfiltered emissions from the writer-director’s subconscious. Brazenly flirting with mobsters one minute and setting the kitchen ablaze the next, Rosalyn is ferocious, maddening and impossible not to love.

Quote:
As Rosalyn, Lawrence initially seems to have a smaller role in the film than she ultimately plays, but once her character becomes part of the machinery of her husband’s FBI-sanctioned hustle, she steals virtually every scene in which she appears. While there’s admittedly a little bit of grandstanding in her performance – not necessarily from Lawrence herself, but from Russell utilizing her as this irresistible force of nature – the young actress continues to prove not just her versatility but believability, juxtaposing the character’s obnoxious stupidity and her desperate vulnerability in a way that makes her an equal competitor for Irving’s affections, no matter how wrong for him she demonstrates that she is.

It is a role for which Jennifer Lawrence is probably far too beautiful, but she very entertainingly conveys Rosalyn's proud sense of herself as an emotionally sincere person.
The performances are far from subtle, yet they have an eye-popping, beads-of-sweat commitment: Lawrence, Cooper and Adams are all great
madonna is known, her music isnt. its considered an embarassment to know her music. parents dont tell their kids about madonna. she isnt really played on radio besides holiday (who people think is some black singer). Her stans can delude you to think that her music is remembered but she really doesnt have classics like michael jackson mariah carey etc etc. its not ignorance its truth. if you can name madonna songs/albums you're probably gay
This logic can be used for Gaga more so than Madonna my uncle (an avid R&B fan) was discussing Madonna's music the other day and he is neither gay nor old.
Not sure why a Britney stan is talking about known songs when Scream & Shout is literally the only Britney song that gets any recurrent airplay these days

this.
Madonna focused on being iconic rather than making good music. It sold albums and got people's attention but I don't think she has any musical legacy.

oh wow and i just asked my uncle (an avid rock fan) about his favorite madonna album and he couldnt name one!
Asked for his views on Lady Gaga, he replied: "Lady Gaga for me is all about that first album, because my daughter and my wife loved it. I've never heard of her since. What does that say? That speaks volumes, to me.
