This script only counts top 40 weeks. It wasn't in the top 40 in the last weeks of 2011 but they estimate it have sold around 300k in that period, cause they have it at 2.1 on their year-end.

So that's 2.4m + whatever it sold after it fell off, which would likely put it around 3M.
