Okay it even says in the article how The Monster decreased by several percentages in digital and streaming so it is not gaining momentum as of right now. Yes streaming will obviously increase with the video release, and the song will never be performed anywhere big unless they do a New Years event which I doubt will happen. Even though it has not peaked yet its updates are so large that it actually may harm the song with a premature peak as opposed to it increasing in smaller increments to increase longevity.

Well, Timber and TM are selling around the same amount while the former has a video and the other doesn't. It's also worth noting that TM is streaming more than Timber despite not having a video.

TM's digital and streaming numbers are quite stable at the moment while airplay continues to rise (it has yet to peak on pop, and it has lots of room to grow on Urban). I think TM will end up edging out Timber due to the sheer fact that it has more radio support and it will stream much more than it once the video drops. As it stands right now, Timber might have to settle with a #2 peak unless it gets a huge Christmas boost during the gift card rush.

The WB parody music video got 50 million views last week. It's now at 68 million. It's possible it'll have 40 million views by the end of tracking period on Sunday.

so for next week, it should have 8 to 10 million views in the US + plus another 6 million from the original MV plus another 2 million from random videos. Thus WB should fend off Monster next week.

It was just a bad 2nd single to release when "Dark Horse" is screaming to be released.

Radio has already started playing "Dark Horse" regardless of having Katy's gracing or not lol

I have been recording the number of views.

At the beginning of Monday， it was at 58634662， and now it's at 68250688.

So in 3 days it has accumulated 9.6 m.

9.6 / 3 * 7 ＝22.4 let's estimate 25m.

Probably 20％ from the US let's say 25*0.2 ＝ 5m.

So...I think WB aint gon be a threat.

So if we knock that streaming component down to 67%, it would be 1134 points. So for all of those saying that "All it takes is a viral video to go #1", the viral video alone probably wouldn't have even got her into the Top 10 considering it wasn't even all of that 67%. Miley is #1 because she already had the sales, the airplay, and the streaming to get her within striking distance of #1 when her music got consumed by the public in a fresh new way that spurred renewed interest in the song.
